Judgement Day
Stolen visions from beyond
My mind has left to wander on
Reality’s misshapen dream
Turns to feral rotting screams
No telling graves from their dust
Hell on earth began with us
The war horse turns its wagon wheels
Desecrate the final seal
Blood in the streets
Complete agony
Total defeat
I don’t know what’s going on
Madness reigns over everyone
This must be the kingdom come
Abomination’s only son
Here I swore I’d have my say
For the ones I wish I’d saved
It all means nothing on Judgement Day
Drowned by life you’ve drawn last breath
There’s no time left for you to sweat
The dogs keep biting at your heels
Hungry for their savage meal
Stronger men than you have failed
Life’s endless struggle, thinly veiled
Cain’s fist raises to the sky
Now's the time for you to die
Blood in the streets
No soul is born free
Listen to me
I don’t know what’s going on
Madness reigns over everyone
This must be the kingdom come
Abomination’s only son
Here I swore I’d have my say
For the ones I wish I’d saved
It all means nothing on Judgement Day
If you wish for all to know
Then you must let yourself be known
Cast your words into the fire
Or watch them vanish in the ire
Winds of plague are here to stay
Long thereafter, Judgement Day

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
